What is a media wall?

A media wall is a built-in wall around your television, usually with an electric fire below it, lit display shelving either side and every cable hidden inside it.

Ours are modules built in our Glasgow factory from wall panels bonded to a rigid aluminium frame, rather than studwork built and painted in your living room. The panel is the finish, so there is nothing to fill, prime or repaint — and the wall is installed in two to four hours instead of most of a week.

The television, the fire and the soundbar are priced separately, on every package. Anyone quoting you a media wall should tell you the same, because that is where two quotations stop being comparable.

How to combine finishes intelligently.

A statement centre, quiet sides

Put the veined marble where the eye already goes, around the TV and fire, and let a plain solid colour or a soft wood carry the side modules.

Keep the undertones together

Warm with warm: gold-veined marble with champagne gold, walnut or ivory. Cool with cool: grey-veined marble with graphite, silver or concrete.

Dark sides make the niches glow

Lit shelving reads brightest against a deep finish. Graphite, obsidian or smoked ash sides turn every niche into a lantern.

How it is made

Our wall panels, bonded to an aluminium frame.

A media wall uses the same wall panels as our feature walls, bonded to a rigid aluminium frame. The frame carries the TV, the fire and the lit shelving.

Media walls start from £1,375 plus VAT. Choose one of five packages, or ask us to price another size.

A smart wall starts as a media wall and adds functionality such as speakers, CCTV integration and climate control.

Most customers want a media wall, and that is where we recommend you start.

Questions, answered.

What is a media wall?

A wall built around your TV and an electric fire, from two centre modules with optional side modules and shelving. It uses our wall panels bonded to an aluminium frame.

How much does a media wall cost?

Two centre modules only are £1,950 plus VAT. With two 400mm side modules and shelves top and bottom, £2,860 plus VAT. With two 600mm side modules and shelves top and bottom, £3,430 plus VAT. For a wall under 2000mm, the compact 800mm module with one wall panel is £1,375 plus VAT, or £1,650 plus VAT with a fire. All include a 20% promotional discount.

Can the centre and side modules be different finishes?

Yes. On the packages with side modules you choose one finish for the two 1000mm centre modules and another for the side modules.

My wall is under 2000mm. What can I have?

Either a feature wall of wall panels around your own TV, or a compact media wall: an 800mm module and one 1200mm wall panel. Both are prepared for your TV, with either a large lit shelf or an electric fire. Extra wall panels can be added.

Can I have a different size?

Yes. Other sizes are available on request. Send us your wall width and we will price it for you.

Do you sell media wall kits?

Yes. All five packages are complete media wall kits — the modules, the aluminium frame, the lit shelving and the finish — and you can buy any of them supply-only and fit it yourself or have your own joiner do it. Installation by our own team is a separate, optional line.

What is the difference between a media wall and a smart wall?

They look the same. A smart wall adds functionality such as speakers, CCTV integration and climate control. Most customers choose a media wall.

Is the electric fire included in the price?

Only in the compact package with a fire, which is £1,650 plus VAT. On every other package the wall is built around your fire and the fire is a separate line, as are the TV and the soundbar.
