Bedside Smart Columns are factory-built modules that stand either side of your bed, with reading light, charging, sockets and optional sound built in. The Caledonian range starts at £1,600 a pair ex VAT, made in our Glasgow factory, delivered in custom-made wooden boxes and covered by a 24-month warranty.

Sizes and dimensions
Each column is machined, finished and wired in our factory, then arrives ready to fit around the bed you already own. The 600 and 800mm columns are drawn below. Only the width changes between them.

The Wall Shop Precision-Fold Finish
The detail is in the bend. Look closely at the corners of our bedside columns. We precision-machine the back of each decorative panel by CNC, then carefully heat it and fold it through 90 degrees around an aluminium frame.
The decorative surface continues around the corner, creating a clean, continuous finish with the appearance of a solid, sculpted structure. It is a detail you can see, and craftsmanship you can appreciate.

Headboard fabrics
Upholster the headboard in a soft chenille, a wipe-clean faux leather, a textured bouclé, a flecked tweed or a rich velvet. Every colour is the same price, it can differ from the columns' finish, and samples are free.

A finished column each side of the bed carrying lit shelves, power sockets, phone charging, sound and light control. They are sold as a pair, one each side, with an optional upholstered headboard between them. Together they are what we call the Bedside Smart Columns.
The Caledonian Bedside Smart Column is priced per pair, including a 20% promotional discount. A 400mm pair is Lite £1,600 ex VAT, Plus £1,750 ex VAT and Sound £2,150 ex VAT. A 600mm pair is Lite £2,150 ex VAT, Plus £2,300 ex VAT and Sound £2,700 ex VAT. An 800mm pair is Lite £2,700 ex VAT, Plus £2,850 ex VAT and Sound £3,250 ex VAT. Delivery, in custom-made wooden boxes, is £165 ex VAT per order.
Measure the wall either side of your bed. The 400mm column is the original and suits most bedrooms. The 600mm column gives each side more room. The 800mm column is too big for most bedrooms, so it suits larger rooms and hotels. Every width comes in the same three models with the same options at the same prices. Not sure? Caledonian Lite has one lit upper shelf on each column. Caledonian Plus adds a lit lower shelf and an internal shelf socket on each column. Caledonian Sound is Caledonian Plus with smart speakers in place of the upper shelf. Every pair runs its shelf lights from one smart switch. On Caledonian Sound, sound and lights can be controlled from your phone. The automatic curtain closing system is an add-on for any pair, and closes the curtains from the wall panel or your phone.
Sockets are £75 on one column or £140 on both (£85 and £150 with USB-C) on every model. Caledonian Lite can add a matching stand-alone drawer cabinet at £145, or £330 for a pair. Caledonian Plus and Sound can add an integrated drawer pack at £270 for one column or £450 for both, a magnetic phone charger in the drawer at £132 each, reading lights at £85 each and a smart switch on both columns for £95. Caledonian Sound can also take a wall panel in place of the switch on one column for £375. All prices ex VAT.
