How Smart Wall Installation Works
Every order includes a 2-D drawing and a complete bracket arrangement. Follow the steps below for a fast, precise install with minimal disruption.
2D Drawing Included
Every Smart Wall purchase generates a scale 2-D drawing of the final layout, centred on your existing wall.
Bracket Arrangement Included
You also receive a full bracket arrangement showing hole centers and spacings for each module.
Installer - Bracket Setting Out
Identify Master Module
Find the nearest external wall socket (left or right of wall). Work from the end module closest to it — this is the master module.
Master module carries the primary plug-and-play power.
Set Out Centre Lines
Find horizontal & vertical centre of the existing wall. Draw pencil lines. Measure from the centre to the end of the Smart Wall and mark a vertical line for the end module.
Light pencil lines; they’ll be covered by modules.
Bracket Centre Offsets
Measure from the end of the Smart Wall to the *centre of the first bracket* and mark.
Offsets by end-module size (TBC values): 400mm: ___ | 600mm: ___ | 800mm: ___ | 1000mm: ___.
Bracket Crosshair
Draw a vertical & horizontal line through the bracket centre and centralise the bracket height.
Fix Bracket & Jig
Mark holes through bracket, remove, fit supplied plasterboard fixings, then refit bracket. Fit the aluminium jig and pins, clamp the next bracket to the jig, mark & drill.
Always spirit-level for both vertical and horizontal centricity.
Repeat Across Wall
Repeat jig-to-bracket positioning until all bracketry is installed and secure.
Keep checking with a spirit level for both vertical and horizontal centricity at each bracket.
Module Installation
Prep Master Module
Remove the power cable & plug from base, route through the gland so the plug remains outside the module.
Expose Power & Data
Ensure the power and data male/female connectors around the module centre are free to connect to the next module.
Snap-Fit to Brackets
Keep both cable assemblies free, push the master module into the bracket clamps and secure top/bottom Allen screws.
Complete the Run
Repeat for all modules, linking power & data between neighbouring modules as you go.
Power-Up & Completion
Connect & Activate
Plug the master module into the local socket. Switch on — devices and lighting become live instantly.
Final Check
Confirm all modules are secure, cables are managed, and lighting/devices respond.
