Media wall pictures of our own designs. They are design visualisations of our modules and finishes, not photographs of completed installations. Each one carries the idea behind it: the finish, what the lighting is doing, and which wall it suits. White marble with four lit niches
The most requested media wall we build: a white marble centre, a linear fire under the TV and four lit niches in a matching surround. One finish across every module, so the wall reads as architecture rather than furniture.
Marble centre, grey side columns
Two 1000mm centre modules in white marble with grey side columns, the niches lined in wood. Splitting the finish this way puts the veining where the eye already goes and keeps the sides quiet.
Art-mode TV above a linear fire
Grey micro-cement with the TV in art mode above a linear electric fire. When the television is off it reads as a framed picture, which is the point of a plain, low-contrast finish behind it.
Bronze micro-cement, eight lit niches
Bronze micro-cement with a linear fire and eight lit display niches. The more niches a wall carries, the darker the finish wants to be — lit shelving reads brightest against a deep surface.
Gold mirror columns either side
Polished gold mirror side columns against a white and gold marble centre. Mirror doubles the light in a north-facing room and keeps a tall wall from feeling heavy.

Navy panels either side of a white fire surround with lit niches. A painted-joinery look without the joinery: the colour is in the panel, so there is nothing to repaint in three years.

A white wave-textured panel with the TV, a linear fire and four lit niches. Texture does the work colour would otherwise have to do, which suits a room that is already busy.
Bronze with a full-width floating shelf
Bronze with a floating shelf under the TV, an electric fire and lit niches. The shelf is the landing place for a console, a speaker or the things that otherwise end up on the floor.
Gold panels with marble display columns
A gold panelled centre with white and gold marble display columns. Warm with warm — gold-veined marble, champagne gold, walnut and ivory all sit together.
Bronze with shelving bays for kit
Bronze with the TV, a soundbar, an electric fire and open shelving bays. If a games console, a sound system or a set-top box has to live on the wall, plan the bays before the finish.

The same layout as the grey version in cream, which warms the whole wall by a step. Worth seeing side by side before you choose: the layout is identical, the room is not.

Marble with a lit linear fire
White marble with a lit linear electric fire and four display niches. A fire with no TV above it is a legitimate choice, and it is the one to make if the seating faces a window.
One long lit shelf instead of niches
White marble with a wall-mounted TV over a single long lit shelf recess. One continuous recess suits a narrower wall better than niches, because it does not chop the width into sections.
Wave texture in a bright lounge
The white wave-textured wall in a bright room, seen from the side. In a room with this much daylight a textured white panel gives a wall depth that flat paint cannot.
Choosing between them
Four rules that decide most of it.
The designs above vary in four ways, and every one of them is a decision you can make before you pick a finish.

One finish, or two
Two centre modules always take one finish. Packages with side modules can take a second on the sides. In a small room, one finish throughout looks more like architecture.

Niches, or one long shelf
Several lit niches suit a wide wall and give you places to put things. One continuous recess suits a narrow wall, because it does not chop the width into sections.

Fire, or no fire
A linear electric fire under the TV is the usual layout. Without one, a large lit shelf takes its place. The fire is priced separately and fitted into the module.

Light finish, or dark
Lit shelving reads brightest against a deep finish, so graphite, bronze and obsidian make every niche glow. Pale marble does the opposite and makes the wall recede.

Media wall ideas with storage
Side modules add lit display niches either side of the TV, with shelves top and bottom, for books, ornaments and plants. That is the 400mm or 600mm side module package.

Floating shelves, no brackets
The shelves are recesses built into the module rather than boards on brackets, so they read as floating shelves and nothing sags under a row of books.

Media wall lighting ideas
Lit niches come with the wall. TV surround and peripheral LED lighting are extras, each also remote dimmable and multi-colour, for a glow round the TV or the whole wall.

Small media wall ideas
Under 2 metres of wall, the compact 800mm module with one wall panel, in one finish throughout, with a long lit shelf or an electric fire.

A focal point without a chimney
An electric fire needs no flue, so the focal point of the living space goes on the wall the seating faces rather than wherever the chimney breast happens to be.

No. They are design visualisations of our own modules and finishes, made to show each layout and finish clearly. Every layout is one of our packages, built in our Glasgow factory, and each picture says which finish it uses.
What are the most popular media wall ideas?

What finishes are these media walls made from?
All of them use our wall panels — marble, stone, micro-cement, wood, metal and mirror effects — bonded to an aluminium frame. There are over 100 finishes and the wall price does not change with the finish you choose.
Does a media wall need an electric fire?
No. A media wall without a fire takes a large lit shelf in its place. It is a common choice where the room already has a stove or where the seating does not face the wall.
