What actually happens on installation day

Two to four hours, no plaster, no chasing and no skip on the drive. A walk through the day, hour by hour.

Rear of a smart wall module on the factory assembly frame showing concealed wiring

The most common question we are asked before a deposit is not about price. It is how much of the house will be unusable, and for how long. The short answer for a typical living room wall is one morning.

Before we arrive

The wall was built, wired and tested in our Glasgow workshop over the preceding six to eight weeks. Every module was dry-assembled on a frame, the lighting was run, and the finish was checked against your sample before it was wrapped.

You need to do one thing: clear the wall and about a metre of floor in front of it.

The first hour

Floors are covered, modules are carried in and laid out in order. We check the wall for level and for anything the survey did not catch, and we set the first module, which sets the line for everything after it.

Hours two and three

Modules are fixed and joined. The television bracket, fire and any speakers are mounted into the reinforcement already built into the frame. Lighting is connected and tested scene by scene, and the smart devices are paired and named.

This is where factory-built earns its keep. Nothing is being cut to fit and nothing is being plastered, so there is no dust and no drying time.

The last hour

Trims go on, the face is cleaned, and we walk you through it: how the scenes work, what to do if a bulb ever fails, and which panels come off if a component ever needs to be reached.

Then the coverings come up and we take the packaging away with us.

Plan your wall in under two minutes.

Answer three questions, see an indicative price, and pick up where you left off any time. No pressure, no obligation.
