What is an SPC wall panel?
SPC stands for stone plastic composite: a rigid core of powdered stone bound with PVC, with a printed decorative layer and a wear coat on top. The stone makes it dense and stable; the PVC makes it 100% waterproof all the way through, not just on the face.
Are SPC shower panels an alternative to waterproof boarding?
They do a different job. Waterproof boarding is the backer that goes behind tiles, and it still needs tiling and grouting on top. An SPC shower panel is the finished wall, so there is nothing to tile. Whether it can go straight onto your existing wall depends on that wall being sound and flat.
What size are the SPC wall panels?
Each panel is 1220mm × 2440mm, in 4mm or 6mm thickness, and fits with adhesive or click-lock joints, so one panel covers almost three square metres of shower or bathroom wall.
Can these replace bathroom tiles?
Yes. They install faster, leave almost no joints for water to penetrate, and never need re-grouting — a fully waterproof alternative to tiling.
